Activities and Challenges (FPC Fellowship Hall)

6:30 – 8:45) 7th/8thGrades
Dread: Mission Improbable (classrooms above FPC Fellowship Hall)
Picture in your mind’s eye tuxedos, elegant gowns, expensive art, fancy hors d’oeuvres, burly security guards, and a gathering of the world’s most powerful at a sprawling mansion estate. An ancient, invaluable, stolen artifact from the Bible protected by a high tech security system. The only way your team of secret agents can protect it… is to infiltrate the party and secure the artifact yourself. But you’re not the only ones after it! In the latest role-playing adventure designed by Pastor Dan, you and your friends choose for yourselves what paths to take and what strategies to employ. Do you talk your way through the party, sweet-talk the guards, and let your conviction persuade the large cast of characters to help you? Do you use stealth and precision and your own sharp minds to sneak your way to victory? Or do you take a more head-on approach? You make your decisions every step of the way, with nothing but critical thinking, teamwork, and a little bit of faith to see you through.

Sunday, 4/28
1:30 – 4:00) 9th– 12thGrades

Dread: House of Darkness (classrooms above FPC Fellowship Hall)
Picture in your mind’s eye a summer night’s bonfire by a still, clear lake deep in the woods. A group of friends blowing off steam after a busy school year. But… what’s that light in the distance? There isn’t supposed to be a huge, abandoned cabin this far out. In true horror movie fashion you enter the mysterious house, and find yourselves lost in an impossible building where something… is following you. In another role-playing adventure designed by Pastor Dan, you and your friends must find hope and courage in one another as you work together to keep each other safe and navigate the mazes and puzzles that separate you from freedom. You decide how to progress and what risks are worth taking, and all you have to back you up is prayer and the people beside you.

If your family would like to be on a Youth Group email list, please contact Pastor Dan Hollis at 207-363-3758.  There will be contextual updates/reminders emailed for each upcoming event as it approaches. Please let Pastor Dan know if you have any youth planning on coming to a given event in advance to aid the planning process.

Youth Group events are open to youth not affiliated with FPC, so bringing friends is encouraged!

Anyone interested in joining our rotating team of volunteer chaperones is welcome to reach out to Pastor Dan! It's a simple and fun way to ensure the safety of the youth in our community.
