Join us weekly for Vital Conversations on Race, a cooperative venture between York-Ogunquit Methodist Church, St. George's Episcopal Church and First Parish Church. We continue this Lenten series at the York Public Library from 10-11:30 each Saturday though March 25.

Participants come from all walks of life in the community, people who belong to churches and people who don't. All care about what steps we can take within our community to expand our hospitality, experiencing the richness that comes from widening the welcome table.

Each week provocative speakers provide thoughtful perspectives through a nationally recognized video series, followed by discussion in small groups at the tables. Questions help participants individually consider attitudes on race, and also address cultural issues that maintain and deepen the divides we face as a nation.

The facilitators include leadership from each of the three host churches, and rotate on a weekly basis. Please join us, beginning with refreshments at 10, followed by the program from 10:15-11:30. Every seat has been taken each session, so plan to arrive by 10 as we engage our neighbors in this important conversation.

Question for Consideration This Week?

What do we have to gain, and potentially lost by embracing diversity as a path to unity?

God's grace, mercy and peace,

Pastor Anna V. Copeland
