This Sunday, November 20th is Gratitude Sunday. If you haven’t already submitted your 2023 financial commitment to First Parish, please bring it to worship Sunday. Indicate your pledge on the Pledge Card and return it and the Time and Talent Form during the service. Following the regular offering, you will be invited to bring your pledge card and the Time and Talent Form forward to the communion table and place it in a basket.
The act of physically bringing your commitments forward relates to the scripture for this Sunday: “So now I bring the first fruits of the ground that you, O Lord, have given me. You shall set it down before the Lord your God and bow down before the Lord your God. Then you, together with the Levites and the aliens who reside among you, shall celebrate with all the bounty that the Lord your God has given to you and to your house” (Deuteronomy 26:10-11).
If you prefer to not walk your card and/or your form forward, you can hold them up and a deacon will come and collect them. There will be pledge cards and envelopes available should you need one. As always, we give thanks for all the ways you support God’s work in the world through First Parish Church.
