“Gratitude Sunday” November 21, 2021
The Sunday before Thanksgiving has come to be known at First Parish Church as “Gratitude Sunday.” It is a day for giving thanks to God for all we have. In response to God’s generosity, we make offerings. Weeks ago, we sent a mailing containing pledge cards for estimating your financial contributions to the church in 2022 and Time and Talent Forms.
We hope you will make a special effort to join us this Sunday for worship. There will be a time in the service when you will be invited to bring forward your morning offering, your Time and Talent Form, and your pledge card. There will be envelops available if you would like to place your pledge card in an envelope. We will celebrate both God’s gifts to us and the opportunity to give back to support God’s work in the world through the church.
In past years, worshippers on Gratitude Sunday have been invited to bring food items as well. Due to the fact that the local food pantry is well stocked with food, we will not have the food collection this year. As always, we thank you for all the ways you support the ministry at First Parish Church!
