God of the world: this week, celebrating World Communion Sunday, we broke bread shoulder to spiritual shoulder with faithful around the world. We give you thanks that we are all made in your image, with such richness of experience, perspective, and culture. We celebrate that we are all beautifully and wonderfully made, in all our shapes, sizes, and colors. May the sacred meal we share in remembrance of you remind us that we are all one body in you, made up of different languages, cultures, traditions, and ways of worship. We thank you and praise you for making us all who we are, individually and collectively, and for the gift of your life-giving presence in Christ Jesus, poured out among all humanity. Amen.
